General Terms & Conditions

By booking any service through Step Bros Cleaning & Services (“Step Bros,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you (“Client”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all services, whether booked online, by phone, or in person.
1. Scope of Services
Step Bros Cleaning & Services provides light and deep cleaning, organization, yard work, tech setup, assembly, car detailing, pressure washing, odd jobs, notary appointments, and other domestic or lifestyle assistance.
We are not licensed professional tradespeople (e.g., electricians, plumbers, or HVAC technicians). All work is performed on a good-faith, “best-effort” basis within the agreed scope at the time of booking.
2. Bookings & Payment
• Appointments must be scheduled through our official booking platform or by written confirmation.
• Invoices are due in full at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Payment is due at completion unless otherwise stated. Deposits (if applicable) are non-refundable but will be applied to your final total.
• Late payments may result in suspension of future bookings.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
• We get it — plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, just let us know as soon as you can so we can adjust our day and help someone else who might be waiting.
• We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible. Same-day cancellations and no-shows make it tough for us to keep things running smoothly, but we always handle it with understanding and communication first.
• If something comes up last minute, just reach out. We’ll figure it out together — no stress, no shame, just mutual respect.
4. Access & Safety
• The Client must provide safe, reasonable access to the property at the scheduled time.
• For everyone’s safety, we reserve the right to decline or end a service if unsafe, unsanitary, or otherwise hazardous conditions are present.
• Our “Rules of Engagement” emphasize consent, comfort, and boundaries — we ask the same respect in return.
5. Weapons & Safety
• For everyone’s comfort and safety, all firearms, knives, and other weapons must be safely secured and out of sight before service begins.
• If any unsecured or visible weapons are present, Step Bros Cleaning & Services reserves the right to pause or end service immediately without refund.
• Our team’s safety — and yours — comes first. Please ensure the workspace is free of visible or accessible weapons prior to arrival.
6. Personal Property & Liability
• Step Bros Cleaning & Services is not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, or items not directly handled during service.
• We carry general liability insurance; however, accidental damage claims must be reported within 24 hours with photos and description.
• Clients are encouraged to secure valuables and fragile items before service begins.
7. Conduct & Boundaries
• Our team operates under strict consent and professionalism guidelines. Harassment, inappropriate behavior, or unsafe environments will result in immediate termination of service without refund.
• Step Bros reserves the right to refuse service to anyone engaging in discriminatory, aggressive, or unsafe conduct.
8. Photography & Marketing
• Before-and-after photos may be taken for internal training, proof of service, or marketing purposes only with Client consent.
• No personal identifiers (e.g., addresses, faces, or private items) will ever be shared publicly.
9. Recording & Transparency
• We believe in full transparency — if you’d like to record or keep your home security cameras on during service, please do. You have our full permission to do so.
• We encourage clients to feel safe and confident in who they invite into their space. Recording helps everyone stay accountable and ensures honesty on all sides.
• We just ask that cameras remain in plain view (no hidden devices) and that any footage be used respectfully and not shared publicly without consent.
• Our team may also document portions of the job (with your knowledge) for proof of service or training purposes.
10. Pets & Biohazards
• Clients must disclose the presence of pets, infestations, or biological hazards (e.g., bodily fluids, mold, excessive pet waste) before service begins.
• Step Bros Cleaning & Services reserves the right to refuse or stop work if conditions are unsafe or beyond the agreed-upon service scope.
• Additional time or fees may apply for cleanup requiring protective gear or specialized products.
11. Environment & Supplies
• We use eco-friendly Method-brand products for light and general cleaning.
• Clients must notify us of any allergies or surface sensitivities prior to service.
• If a Client requests use of their own products or equipment, Step Bros is not responsible for resulting damage or reactions.
12. Inclement Weather & Outdoor Services
• Yard work, pressure washing, and other outdoor services may be rescheduled due to weather or unsafe site conditions.
• We will notify Clients promptly and reschedule at the earliest availability.
• No penalties apply for weather-related delays.
13. Independent Contractors
Some Step Bros services are performed by vetted independent contractors. Step Bros coordinates and oversees quality but is not the direct employer of all personnel. Each contractor follows the same code of conduct and safety standards.
14. Service Guarantee
If you are dissatisfied with your service, please notify us within 24 hours of completion. We’ll review the concern and, where appropriate, offer a touch-up or partial credit at our discretion. Our mission is simple: Affordable. Accessible. Available. Peace of mind should never feel out of reach.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Step Bros Cleaning & Services shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from any service. Total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the appointment in question.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes will be resolved in Travis County, TX.
17. Agreement
By booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
